ASKED QUESTIONS
Specialist care allows you to live independently and have control over how and when you receive support. We can support
you to achieve your goals, such as becoming an active member of your local community.
The benefits of supported living is providing you with the choice, control and independence from holding your own tenancy and having your own front door. You will also have round the clock support from a member of staff should you need assistance.
Staff are professionally trained and dedicated to their roles, using their extensive expertise to help improve daily living for each individual.
Anyone with a learning disability, physical disability, sensory needs or autism who needs support – staff are on site for 24 hours a day.
Each person we support pays for their rent. This could be by housing benefit. The utility bills are paid for by each individual in a self contained flat. The costs of living charges such as food, clothes and activities are met by the individual.
Under the care Act 2014 – Where it appears to a local authority that an adult may have needs for care following an assessment. Support will be commissioned based upon the assessment and support will be funded by the local authority. Sometimes these hours can be shared hours (core) or 1:1 hours model.
Our flexible support is tailored to your needs, whether you’re looking for a few hours a week or more. Together, we co-create personalised support plans focusing on your interests, priorities and skills.
Your next step would be to speak with your case worker or advocate to discuss options that would be best suited to you and your circumstances.
