The Grafton tenant getting flat ready for move in!

A new tenant for The Grafton has been getting his flat ready with help from Mum and Dad, ready for move in day!
Some kind words from current residents
We were so impressed to look around The Lodge, it so professional, organised and vibrant we had visited many services and were beginning to give up hope but now we can’t think of anywhere better for our son and we are, after many years of disappointment actually looking forwards to his future.
Hope you are well just wanted to say a big thank you to you and all your staff for looking after our son especially during these uncertain times. He has had a lot of changes recently and I am so proud of him. It was lovely to talk to him on skype on Saturday and he seemed very happy and seems to have taken on board the current situation well. I’m aware you all have been a big part in helping him to understand everything and all of his family appreciate this. Much love to you all.
As always you and your team have been fantastic in allaying our fears and concerns. Such good ideas and visual timetables mean so much and the new direction the lodge is taking is going to put it in the forefront of the local community and we are so lucky that you have been instrumental in this transition. Our son washing a car WOW that’s amazing and a milestone in his development in becoming an adult such a simple but meaningful idea - Keep safe and a BIG thank you from us to you all.
Just to say a big thank you to you all in the effort that goes into making visits with us happen in a safe and constructive manner which will be a benefit to all concerned. His MUM has a smile as wide as her face and is counting down the days to be able to spend some time with her eldest son. I have just printed off the social story so that Mum can be clear on guidelines and have the strength to correct him should he try to push boundaries.
Having the support of the staff at The Lodge has been invaluable for him and he feels that he is able to express his needs positively. He is also working really hard developing his independence skills and can now; cook his own meals, bake cakes, shop for items he needs with support, clean and tidy his own room, do his own laundry and he has recently mastered the art of changing his own duvet cover, which he is particularly delighted about.
